The Jugged Hare

Sunday Lunch

Take Sunday Lunch to the next level with fantastic roasts and cocktails at The Jugged Hare at Barbican.

One of the best gastro pubs in London, The Jugged Hare is a lovely spot for drinks or dinner, serving fantastic dishes made with the finest British ingredients.

Wake yourself up a classic Bloody Mary or enjoy a delicious Sea Salt Old Fashioned with Highland Park 12 year old whisky, sea salt tea syrup and Angostura bitters.

Start  lunch with some nibbles for the table including Pigs In Blankets, Black Pudding Croquettes with Guinness HP sauce and the Anchovy Olives which we couldn't get enough of.

Famous with the regulars, you have to try the Haggis Scotch Egg, which comes cooked to perfection and served with English mustard.

Nothing can beat a great Sunday Roast and The Jugged Hare have the perfect selection to choose from including Lamb Shoulder with mint sauce, Roast Tamworth Pork Belly with apple sauce and 25 day aged Longhorn Beef.

Selected from nearby Smithfield Market, the beef roast is succulent and tender, served with horseradish cream, duck fat roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, a big fatYorkshire pudding and plenty of rotisserie gravy to drizzle on top.

If you fancy something a little lighter, try the Cornish Fish Pie, Spelt Risotto or check the Specials of the day.

We were lucky enough to try the Dressed Cromer Crab which had been delivered fresh from Billingsgate that morning and served with tarragon mayo and French fries.

Discover the menu and book your table for Sunday Lunch this weekend at The Jugged Hare website.
