User data deletion
How to request deletion of your personal data from Sidetrack London.
Sidetrack lets you delete personal data associated with your member account. This page also satisfies Meta’s requirement that apps accessing user data provide a clear deletion path.
Option 1 — Delete your account while signed in (fastest)
- Sign in to Sidetrack at www.sidetrack.london.
- Open your account.
- Choose Delete my account & data and confirm.
That removes your member account and related personal data such as saved places, reviews, follows, notifications, push subscriptions, and profile details.
Option 2 — Email us
Email info@sidetrack.london from the address on your account with the subject line Data deletion request.
Include the email address (or social sign-in provider) you used on Sidetrack. We will process the request and confirm when it is complete.
Option 3 — Facebook / Instagram app removal
If you signed in with Facebook and later remove Sidetrack from your Facebook settings, Facebook may call our automated data deletion callback. We delete matching Sidetrack account data and issue a confirmation code you can check here:
https://www.sidetrack.london/data-deletion/status?code=YOUR_CODE
You can also always use Option 1 or 2 above.
What we delete
- Your member account credentials and profile fields
- Saved places, ratings, and reviews tied to your account
- Follows, notifications, and browser push subscriptions
- Profile photos uploaded to Sidetrack
- Links between your member account and any People page (the public editorial People page itself may remain)
What we may keep
- Records we must retain for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons
- Anonymised analytics that no longer identify you
- Editorial content that is not your personal member account (for example magazine articles or public People pages)
