Discover the art of the martini with a Martini Masterclass at The Egerton House Hotel.

Mixed at your table, The Egerton are renowned for their martini and a masterclass is the perfect way to sample this famous cocktail while learning the tricks of the trade.

Intimate and very informative, bar manager Gianfranco Spada will talk you through the history and art of the martini, giving you the chance to ask questions and learn tips to impress your own guests at home.

After getting to know your tastes and preferences, the perfect serve is curated right in front of you and served in a frozen martini glass. The ingredients of choice are Dolin Vermouth combined with Ketel One Vodka or Tanqueray London Dry Gin stored at -22°C.

Once poured, the glass is topped to the rim and guests are encouraged to do the iconic and charming ‘Egerton Slurp’ so that they don’t spill a drop. From the first slurp, you can tell you've stumbled onto something special.

More than just a drink, this martini is a whole experience which is why we think it’s the best in London. Combined with the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel with delicious bar snacks and canapés to enjoy from head chef, David Macdonald, this would make an ideal treat for you or a gift for others.
