Synchronic

Melding three genres into one, Synchronic is no ordinary crime film. Directed and produced by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, this indie-thriller is clever and unique, avoiding the usual cliches of a classic time-travel story.

Like a classic buddy movie, the story follows paramedics Dennis (Jamie Dornan) and Steve (Anthony Mackie) as they attend a series gruesome callouts where a new mysterious drug is found at the scene.
Steve turns detective when Dennis' daughter mysteriously disappears and is forced to experiment with the drug, sending him through time on the hunt for the missing teen.
Combining a small budget with interesting storytelling, the film is incredibly atmospheric, set almost exclusively at night in New Orleans, showing a side of the city you don't usually see and with little clues and hints to spot throughout.
Available on digital download from January 29th, this indie thriller is the perfect time-travel movie fans who don't usually like sci-fi.
