Interview:

London

Around London With Scott McGlynn

We chat to Welsh actor, LGBT activist and creator Scott McGlynn who spends his time between London and Cardiff to find out his favourite spots in the city.

What do you love most about London?

I'm a city guy so I enjoy seeing the life London has - from the restaurants I've eaten in to so many new places I've visited over the months that I love! It's never the same. There are so many more places I like to go to and I'm open to suggestions too. It's fun being a tourist and enjoying the city.

Which areas are your favourite to hang out in?

When I'm in London I'm mostly there for work so normally it's where the job is, but I love Leicester Square and Covent Garden, I'm happy to grab a coffee or a wine and watch the world go by in these areas. I do enjoy going to Trafalgar Square even though it's busy. I  find it a peaceful place and I think it's the fountains that make it relaxing.

Where are your favourite places to eat and drink in the city?

I eat out a lot so I have so many favourite places, but the best include Ponti's Italian Kitchen, EL&N London, Hard Rock Cafe, China Town and Mr White's. I love them all, especially the service and how they look after me - that's why I love going back. For drinks I love LSQ Rooftop and this classic British pub in Paddington, which I love going to but I can't remember the name of, and pretty much anywhere that sells a drink makes me happy to be honest.

Where are the best places you've visited in the city?

I have done the tourist things like The London Eye, Madame Tussauds and Sea Life Centre London Aquarium which I still enjoy but I still have some yet to do. I really want to do  the Tomb Raider Live Experience and The Crystal Maze. For shopping I love Zara, wherever I am and H&M because London has the biggest stores. I have not experienced the markets yet but they're on my list for sure!
