Spider-Man: Brand New Day UK Premiere

It’s a brand new day for Peter Parker. In the latest Marvel outing, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, our friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is living full-time as the masked hero in a world that no longer remembers who he is. Old friends have moved on, the pressure is mounting, and something is changing inside him that he may not be able to control. Cue a powerful new threat, big emotional swings, and the kind of high-stakes action that has fans already losing their minds ahead of the wide release. Zendaya is back as MJ, Tom Holland is once again our Peter, and the supporting cast (including Florence Pugh making a sparkling appearance) brings serious star power. ⭐

Last night the UK premiere hit ODEON Luxe Leicester Square and Mario was right in the thick of it, camera in hand, photographing the celebrity arrivals while I sat at home editing in front of a desperately whirring fan. It was properly hot and sticky out there. Hundreds of fans were packed outside screaming themselves hoarse every time a black car pulled up. Absolute peak premiere energy.

The cast and guests fully leaned into the brief with spider-inspired chic. Think webs, subtle nods to the suit, and that glossy, high-fashion take on comic-book cool. Tom Holland kept it sharp and British in a bespoke Anderson & Sheppard burgundy double-breasted suit, finished with a Pragnell spider brooch and Christian Louboutin shoes.

Zendaya turned up in a stunning Tamara Ralph couture gown complete with spider-web detailing (styled, of course, by the legendary Law Roach).

Florence Pugh coordinated beautifully in a shimmering silver fringed Tamara Ralph couture number from the spring 2026 collection – sculpted corset, cascading crystal fringe, Jimmy Choo sandals and Bulgari emeralds – styled by Rebecca Corbin Murray.

The whole carpet looked like a very glamorous arachnid convention. Shot out to Sarah New, Chloe Taylor, Clara Amfo, Abby Roberts, Atifa Arshad and Alice Johnson-Roach for making the event for mimmersive 🕷️ 🕸️

The best dressed guest award goes to Bella Prichard for making her own stunning Spider-Woman dress - she really is a superhero 🦹‍♀️ 🏆

She told us what she thought of the film:

"As a huge lover of all things Spider-Man, this movie is a love letter to the fans. Tom, the cast and the crew have perfected a gripping film that keeps you on the edge of your seat whilst also bringing tears, laughter and pure comic book joy!"

And then there’s the couple everyone was waiting for. Tom Holland and Zendaya, freshly (and rather secretively) married earlier this year, still have the entire internet in a spin. The intrigue is off the charts – fans still can’t get enough of the real-life romance that started on set and somehow survived the multiverse. Photographers were practically vibrating with the need to get That Shot of them together on the carpet. Lenses locked. Fingers poised. And yet… they somehow slipped away again without giving the pack the full joint pose they were desperate for. Classic Tom and Zendaya. Masters of the art of “we’ll give you just enough to keep you hungry.” The photographers’ collective groan could probably be heard in Zone 6.

Between the heat, the screaming, the remote editing sweat, and the fashion that actually looked like it belonged in a Spider-Man universe, it was one of those nights that reminds you why we do this. Webs were spun, cameras clicked, and Leicester Square felt properly alive.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go stand in front of that fan a bit longer.
