Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey world-premiered at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square on 6 July 2026 and the cast arrived looking like they’d just stepped off the deck of a black ship.
A three-hour fever dream of salt, blood, and longing 🩸
Twenty years after Troy burned, Ithaca’s king is still missing. Matt Damon’s Odysseus is no polished hero — he’s a war-scarred survivor clawing his way across a Mediterranean that wants him dead. Cyclops, Sirens, Calypso’s island, Scylla and Charybdis… every mythic obstacle is rendered with Nolan’s trademark practical brutality and IMAX scale. While he fights monsters and his own hubris, Anne Hathaway’s Penelope holds the palace with quiet steel, weaving and unweaving, refusing to believe the worst. Tom Holland’s Telemachus grows from boy to man under the same roof, and Zendaya’s Athena watches, intervenes, and judges from on high.
This is Homer filtered through the mind that gave us Inception and Oppenheimer: intimate character study wrapped in pure spectacle. The journey home is the story. The real war is what waits on the shore.
The Fashion Report:
We were there to capture the red carpet and here’s exactly how the principal players were dressed — designers, whole looks, and the glam teams behind the magic. ✨
Zendaya (Athena)
Look: Straight-off-the-runway Schiaparelli Fall 2026 couture (closing look from Daniel Roseberry’s “The Abyss” collection). Sculptural white porcelain/silicone breastplate moulded to her torso (ribs, abs, navel, breasts in hyper-real detail), ombré beaded fringe skirt that shifted from pearly white to silver, internal lighting that made her glow like a modern idol.
Accessories: Multi-strand Chopard Haute Joaillerie diamond necklace + studs, pale-gold Christian Louboutin pumps.
Stylist: Law Roach (who personally flew the Schiaparelli piece from the Paris show to London on a private jet the same day).
Hair: Grecian-inspired braid / waist-length waves.
Makeup: Ernesto Casillas — white eyeshadow, sun-kissed glow, jet-black manicure, Charlotte Tilbury Unreal Highlighter and Exagger-Eyes sticks for that ethereal goddess finish.
Anne Hathaway (Penelope)
- Look: Custom soft-blue @Dior Dior strapless gown by Jonathan Anderson — empire waist with blue floral blooming details, softly pleated cascading skirt that framed her baby bump, luminous and regal.
- Accessories: Bvlgari jewels (sapphire/emerald/diamond ring). Soft red lipstick and toenail polish for a deliberate pop.
- Stylist: Erin Walsh.
- Hair: Softly swept-back.
- Makeup: Luminous, radiant skin (Hung Vanngo has been her consistent tour artist)
Charlize Theron
Look: Givenchy Fall 2026 by Sarah Burton — black velvet high-neck / halter gown with gathered waist, dramatic thigh-high slit, large ruffled element at the back, and oversized puffy white leather Bonbon gloves tied with bows at the elbow.
Accessories: Glenn Spiro desert-diamond earrings, black patent T-bar sandals, matching bow clutch.
Stylist: Leslie Fremar.
Hair: Adir Abergel.
Makeup: Kaye Lee.
Lupita Nyong’o (Helen of Troy)
Look: Christian Cowan Fall 2026 silver crystal-mesh column dress — simple rectangular Grecian silhouette, sheer with oversized side openings / gaping cut-outs, slight hem slit.
Accessories: Metallic silver Aquazzura heels.
Stylist: Micaela Erlanger.
Hair: Vernon François (sculptural high-top / textured updo with Grace Jones attitude).
Makeup: Nick Barose (smoky eye + deep berry lip).
Tom Holland (Telemachus)
Look: Bespoke Gieves & Hawkes Gieves & Hawkes dinner suit in chocolate brown / burgundy / gold tones. The pinstripes were custom jacquard Morse code spelling “The Odyssey” (and G&H), woven at Britain’s last jacquard mill and inspired by his character’s body armour.
Stylist: Crystalle Cox.
Mia Goth
Look: Dior Resort 2027 — sleeveless white dress covered in cascading textural “balls” of fabric gathered at the waist, finished with a single blue flower pin and black heels.
Elliot Page
Look: Mustard-brown suit with black-and-yellow honeycomb tie and matching black shoes.
Stylist: Britt Theodora.
Hair & Makeup: Lucy Halperin.
Robert Pattinson
Look: Grey crosshatch / wool Dior suit, white cotton shirt, black silk tie, black leather derbies, and (initially) sunnies that he later removed. Clean, timeless, slightly dangerous. 🕶️🔥
Supporting players kept the mood monochrome and sharp: Travis Scott in black monochromatic striped suit, Benny Safdie in embroidered black blazer with white floral accents, Himesh Patel in embroidered black flared suit, Christopher Nolan classic black suit / white shirt opposite Emma Thomas’ inverted white-blazer-over-black look.
The entire carpet felt like method dressing at divine scale — Grecian draping, sculptural armour, metallic sheen, and Morse-code secrets woven into Savile Row. Leicester Square didn’t just host a premiere. It hosted Olympus for one hot July night.
