Dark Secrets: An Esoteric Exhibition

Enter the world of London’s secret and haunted past with Dark Secrets: An Esoteric Exhibition in Waterloo.

Located at The Vaults, this immersive exhibition will lead you through a 1,200+ square foot maze filled with witchcraft, satanism, ghosts and so much more.

Featuring 27 themed rooms with over a thousand original artefacts, the exhibition is so intriguing and incredibly informative with an audio guide to aid your discovery.

Mixing together haunted objects with historical artefacts, movie props and ceremonial instruments, this extensive collection is like no other and a must for anyone with an interest in mysticism or history.

As well as the unexplained and supernatural, the rooms also explores hoaxes and fakes such as phoney mediums and one of the first photo manipulation scandals, the Cottingley Fairies.

Some of the most eye-catching pieces are  masks from different religions around the world and dolls ranging from super cute to downright creepy.

Our highlight was The Haunted Doll. Isolated on her own, there’s an eerie feeling as her eyes follow you around the room. You’re asked if she spoke to you and then invited to write down her reply and add it to walls. There are some hilarious answers.

The whole experience can last up to two hours with a VR experience. Don’t worry if you need a break or a pick-me-up as there’s a very cool immersive bar for you to enjoy too.

Running until January 2026, you can book your tickets to Dark Secrets at The Vaults website.
