Located underneath Centre Point in St Giles Square, the restaurant is set over three levels with huge glass windows, Italian decor and a Vespa on the ceiling.
Treat yourself to a cocktail such as an Aperol Spritz, Negroni or Passion Fruit Martini, or be good with a Mocktail from the wide selection including non-alcoholic versions of each of the classics.
We sipped on a Raspberry Mule with Skyy raspberry vodka, lime, raspberry syrup & ginger ale, and a very refreshing rum and lime Mojito.
For dinner, start with antipasti and insalata with a delicious choice of bruschetta, garlic bread and salad to enjoy.
We tried the delicious Bruschetta Gamberetti with toasted ciabatta, grilled king prawns, tomatoes, garlic, basil & rocket, and you can’t go wrong with the classic and beautifully presented Caprese Salad with cherry tomatoes, basil & rocket with buffalo mozzarella that melts as you cut into it.
The Reef’N Beef was our favourite with grilled vegetables, cherry tomatoes, spring onions and mixed leaves topped with sliced beef fillets, king prawns and sliced Italian hard cheese.
Next comes the pizza, served on delicious sourdough prepared fresh on site. We loved the spicy Diavolo with mozzarella, pepperoni salami, bell peppers, hot green pepper & red onions, and the Fungi which went perfectly with the homemade Pesto & White Truffle Dip.
However, it’s the pasta that really steals the show at Vapiano, made with homemade fresh pasta in a variety of shapes and cooked with sliced garlic before being served with fresh parmesan.
We choose the Gamberetti Linguine with king prawns, cherry tomatoes, spring onions, rosemary, lemon & extra chilli, and the amazing Crema Di Funghi Campanelle with mushrooms, balsamic onions, garlic oil, white wine, cream, butter and parsley.
