Listen, we're the kind of people who usually treats salad like a punishment for last night’s takeaway sins. So when we rocked up to The Salad Kitchen on Leather Lane in Clerkenwell, we were ready for another “healthy but meh” moment.

Spoiler alert: we were not prepared for what happened next.

The base of the Crunchbox changes weekly, meaning you'll never get bored. This week it was baby potatoes, black beans, couscous, coleslaw, pickled red onion and salad. I went for Goats Cheese & Tempeh topped with teriyaki mayonnaise and all the sprinkles while Mario had Pulled Chicken & Kimchi topped with sriracha mayonnaise. 🥰

The Focaccia That Broke US

First of all… that fluffy focaccia. We're not exaggerating when we say it should come with a warning label. One bite and Mario audibly moaned in public (zero regrets). Golden, pillowy, with just the right amount of chew and those little crispy edges that make you want to fight anyone who tries to steal a piece. It’s the kind of bread that makes you whisper “I’m never eating supermarket bread again.”
