Fish N Gigs

Tuck into a tasty plate of fish & chips while enjoying live music with Fish N Gigs at Poppie’s in Camden.

A short walk from Camden Town tube, the restaurant feels like a nostalgic blast from the past with antiques and memorabilia covering the walls, a cabinet full of Toby jugs and retro hits playing on the jukebox.

Fish N Gigs takes place on the first Friday of every month, where guests are treated to live music while they dine.

We got to see The Kristian Baker Band play a full set of rock, ska and pop hits for diners to sing along to inbetween bites of fish. 

Dating all the way back to 1952, Poppie’s has become a London institution, famous for it’s authentic fish and chips.

The Hot Seafood Platter is a fish lover’s dream with delicious scampi, calamari, cod bites and whitebait.

However you can’t beat a classic Fish Supper and the cod was perfectly battered, served with tartare sauce and a mountain of chips.
