Interview:

Zara Vickers

From red carpets and award ceremonies to VIP parties and launches for the latest clubs in the city, you’ll find Zara Vickers at all the best events in London so we couldn’t wait to find out where she goes to hang out.

“I work within the Aesthetics industry supporting medically qualified Aesthetic injectors", explains Zara. "I am from Farnborough but it’s easier to say Surrey as it’s right next door and not many people know Farnborough until I mention the private airport.”

"My favourite hotspots are South West and Central London by day and Mayfair and Soho by night"

“However I only really go out in London - it’s a vibe and alive, giving me choices and the entertainment and venues are amazing. My favourite hotspots are South West and Central London by day and Mayfair and Soho by night”.

Describing her perfect day in the city, Zara adds: “I love the mix of shops, restaurants, street entertainment and cobbled streets in Covent Garden and Borough Market is great to walk through and pick up a bite to eat. Grab one of those rental bikes and cycle around the grounds of Buckingham Palace and then visit The National History or Science Museum. End the night with a show in the West End - I love the theatre!”

Always dressed to impress at events, we were keen to find out where she finds her outfits. “My top shopping spots in London for shopping are, Selfridges, Harrods and Harvey Nichols. I recently went to Fenwick’s when my mum visited and it was a dream. It has everything, yet it’s relaxed and not too busy with shoppers. I pick these places when I fancy a shopping trip for an occasion and can find most things under one roof.”

“My top places to eat in London are Novikov for the padron peppers, tuna tataki and rib-eye steak and Hutong at The Shard for mixed veg dumplings and roasted peking duck. For a super cute brunch, head to Kettner's for sweet corn fritters with poached eggs & avocado. And for places with great entertainment while you eat, try The Maine Mayfair for oysters, burrata and filet mignon and Park Chinois for wasabi king prawns & Szechuan king pao corn-fed chicken.”

“My favourite cocktail of all time is a Caipirinha, which has to be made perfectly, so no packet mix please. A close second is a Margarita, made fresh with a salty rim. I love them because they hit the spot, make me feel nice and are usually presented in a cute cocktail glass which is great for photos. Most Mayfair, London roof top bars and hotels will serve these but I love The Londoner, Mr Fogg's, the Ham Yard Hotel, Archer Street and Zebrano in Soho, and  Isabel in Mayfair.

“There are many great and amazing venues in London, with new places constantly opening which keeps London buzzing. I am yet to find my favourite place in the city but excited to find out!”
