Trailer Happiness X The Milestone


Portobello Road's world famous retro-tiki bar, Trailer Happiness teamed up with luxury 5-star Kensington hotel The Milestone for an inspired evening of rum and Polynesian cocktails.

Hosted in the iconic Stables Bar at The Milestone, the Trailer H team brought Caribbean vibes to the hotel for a relaxing evening of cocktail shaking, Latin-American sounds and delicious food.

As part of the collaboration, you could sip on a new creation such as the Smoking Daq with HSE Eleve Suis Bois, Smoke Syrup and lime, or choose from the hotel's classic menu and try the signature Milestone Old Fashioned with Naked Grouse Scotch, Maker’s Mark Bourbon, Orange Oleo Saccharum, home-made bitters, smoked with Double Apple Shisha Tobacco.

Other collaboration cocktails included the Boing Boing with English Harbour, lime juice, agave nectar & Angostura, A.T.A.I.G (As Tiki As It Gets) with HSE, English Harbour, Absinthe, Angostura, Orgeat, passionfruit, lime & grapefruit, or our favourite, the Jessica Rabbit with HSE, Raspberry infused Campari, apple juice and Cacao Blanc foam.

The Milestone's loveable bar manger Angelo Lo Greco put an elegant London twist on the Tiki style using HSE Rum combined with hand-picked ingredients including raspberries and oranges grown in Kensington Gardens.

As the perfect accompaniment to the drinks, small plates were on offer from the Stable Bar menu, including Smoked Mackerel Rillette with grilled sourdough, pickles and candied lemon.

We also loved the Smoked Ham Hock & Aged Cheddar Croquette with piccalilli and Burrata with crispy kale, sweet & sour cranberries, chestnut and squash.

Open every night until 11pm, you can visit the Stables Bar inside The Milestone in Kensington or head down to Trailer Happiness on Portobello Road.

Drink Arriba! Andale! with Zignum Reposado, cold brew concentrate, muscovado syrup, soy sauce and Angostura cocoa bitters


Eat Crispy Prawn Tacos with golden-brown crispy prawns nestled inside warm tortillas with a fresh tomato and avocado salsa


Drink Gaviota with Zignum Reposado, Fino Sherry, grapefruit cordial, celery bitters and soda wate


Eat Sweet Heat Corn Fritters with light and fluffy sweetcorn fritters, spiced with fresh coriander and a hint of candied chilli with dotted cilantro gel


Drink Rancho Rosado with Zignum Reposado, lime acid, clarified strawberry juice and tonka beans


Eat Bold Beef Empanadas with tender braised beef, infused with cumin and chill, folded into a crisp and flaky pastry shell with a zesty lime crema


Drink A Path Of Flavour with El Recuerdo Abogado con Gusano, creme de cacao, El Bandarra Vermouth, Fernet Vallet, cardamom bitters and Sal de Chapulin
