Japanese Fish Waffles & Ice Cream

Enjoy waffles, bubble tea and ice cream at Taiyakiya in Chinatown.

Located on Dessert Alley, this has to be one of the most instagram-worthy spots in Chinatown, serving picture perfect desserts which taste as good as they look.

Taking it's name from taiyakiya, a fish-shaped waffle which is a popular street food in Japan, there's no better place to try it in London.

There are both sweet and savoury versions to enjoy such as Nutella Peanut Butter, Purple Sweet Potato, Kimchi Cheese and Hanjuku Egg & Chicken. We loved the Black Sesame!

And for the hardest decision, choose between  unicorn or mermaid ice cream in either a black cone or taiyakiya waffle. Both look incredible, with colourful sprinkles and pearls, but we think we made the right pick with the beautiful Mermaid Lychee Rose Soft Serve.
